Doris June Thomas, age 75, of Bloomington, went home to her Lord on Wednesday evening at the Brown County Health and Living Center in Nashville, Indiana. Born September 18, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Jewell (Dewees) Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda T. Esarey, of Louisville, Kentucky; two grandsons and granddaughter-in-law, David Thomas and Alexandra Esarey, of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Jonathan Clark Esarey, of New Albany, Indiana and one brother, Larry W. Smith, of Wichita, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl S. Thomas and her son, Gary Wayne Thomas.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5, at Louisville Memorial Gardens-West in Louisville at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow.
The family requests memorial contributions given to Gideons International in lieu of flowers.
