Edith Maxine Frye-Hillenburg

Edith Maxine Frye-Hillenburg, age 82, of Ellettsville, Indiana, passed away Thursday morning, January 9, 2025 at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospice House. Born March 12, 1942 in Burkesville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Albert and Eva (Fields) Stinson. Edith retired from Cook, Inc. where she worked in packaging. She enjoyed going to yard sales and was a faithful member of the Union Church in Hendricksville.

Edith is survived by her husband, William ”Bill” Hillenburg, of Ellettsville, her son, Randy (Luann) Frye, of Bloomington, step-son, Richard (Ronda) Hillenburg, of Solsberry, one sister, Evaline Finn, of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Timmy Schultz, Mandy Schultz, Brandi Hendrickson and Brittani Frye and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Archie Frye, one daughter, Kim Blake, one sister, Tammy Stinson, one brother, Jimmy Stinson and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13 at 1:00 p.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Porter officiating. Interment will follow in the Chambersville Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
