Elizabeth Sue Evans

Elizabeth Sue Evans, 79, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away on December 4, 2023. She was born on January 1, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Walter C. Harris and Golda D. Harris. Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Dale Evans.

Sue was a remarkable woman who had a lifelong passion for animals and their well-being. She dedicated more than 35 years of her life to breeding and showing English Springer Spaniels alongside her husband as well as working with breed rescue. She worked in retail, selling fine jewelry and stereo equipment and had excellent taste in both.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Adrienne Evans Fernandez, son-in-law, Francis Paul Fernandez, and countless "doggy" friends across Texas, Indiana, and beyond. Sue's beloved one-eyed cat, Hemi, also mourns her passing.

A celebration of Sue's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter in her honor.
