

Estel Leon Nash, age 88, of Bloomington, died Tuesday morning at the I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospice House. Born September 30, 1925 in Wells County, Indiana, he was the son of Herbert and Addie (Conwell) Nash. He retired from International Harvester in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. After retirement he built homes for 15 to 20 years. He was a well known Beagle owner and trainer and was instrumental in the formation of the Two Couple Pack Federation. He was a former B.A.S.S. fisherman and was a member of the Bloomington American Legion and over a 50 year Masonic Lodge member. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Karen Nash, of Liberty Center, Indiana and Joe and Kay Nash, of Montpelier, Indiana; four step-children and spouses, Diana Staffen, Donna and Jim Brunnemer , Michael and Terri Harding and Debra and Howard Handley ; niece and nephew-in-law, Sandy & Bob Sutter; nephew and niece-in-law, Melvin and Susan Melton; four grandchildren, Dan (Robin) Nash, Amy Jo (Matt) Murphy, Jessica (Tyler) Oatess, and Katy (Clint) Renner; six step-grandchildren, Stephanie (Ryan )Cate , Clinton(Lauren) Harding, Amelia (Stephen) Sproull, Autumn Hinrichs, Justin (Tai)Handley, and Elle(Cory) Chase; seven great-grandchildren, Blaine and Austin Nash, Nash and Quinn Murphy, Mya and Macy Oatess and Graham Renner; nine step-great-grandchildren; Casey &Lacey Oakley, Hayden & Carolyn Cate, Lily & Trenton Harding, Liam & Keira Hinrichs and Hannah Handley and very special friend, Linda Robertson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois (Shumaker) Nash, second wife, Janice (Harding) Nash, one sister, Esteleene Suman and one granddaughter, Devon Nash.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Day Funeral Home in Bloomington with Rev. Marvin McGlothlin officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens where the Veterans Honor Guard will perform military graveside rites. Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Masonic memorial rites performed at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Two Couple Pack Federation.
