

E. Maxine Ison, age 75, of Camby, formerly of Bloomington, died Saturday afternoon at Miller’s Merry Manor in Mooresville. Born January 2, 1938 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Everett and Ethel Christine (Pelfree) Harding. She retired from the I.U. Halls of Residence in 1985. She loved to crochet as well as cook and bake for her many family members and friends. She grew up in the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas P. Ison, of Camby, three sons, Everett Curtis Harding, Mike (Leann Jarvis) Ison and Dennis (Jenny) Ison, all of Bloomington; her daughter, Tina (Ken) Fuller, of Camby, one brother, James D. (Merijane) Harding, of Bloomington; one sister, Barbara Cox (Hubert) Barbry; eight grandchildren, Michelle Cox, Dan Conway, Curtis Harding, Mark Conway, Heath Ison, Samantha Fuller, Sabrina Fuller and Jeremiah Ison and four great-grandchildren, Skylan Ison, Henry Conway, Miles Conway and Brookelyn Harding.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Eugene Harding, one sister, Janet Harding and one great-granddaughter, Louise Conway.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Day Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Piper officiating. Entombment will follow in Valhalla Mausoleum with family and friends gathering at the Day Reception Center following the committal service. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The family suggests to friends who wish that memorial contributions be given to the National Parkinson’s Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association.
