

BLOOMINGTON — Frank Leo “Bud” Augustine, 86, of Bloomington, died Sunday, June 16, surrounded by his family at the Bell Trace Health and Living Center. Born November 22, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Frank Leo and Helen (Endres) Augustine. He grew up in St. Louis and met his wife, Ruth Edson, there. He and Ruth were married in 1950. He was a retired Real Estate Broker in Bloomington and was a very active member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men. Prior to becoming involved with real estate, he worked in sales in the music industry. He loved to play bridge and golf. He also served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Augustine, of Bloomington; one son and daughter-in-law, Skip and Caroline Augustine, of Encinitas, California; one sister, Nancy Russell, of Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren, Sarah Augustine and Peter Augustine. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Mary Halls.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Ned Steele officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
