

Frank M. Gott, age 79, of Bloomington, died Tuesday morning at I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospital. Born January 6, 1934 in Indianapolis, he was the son of James and Ina (Whitaker) Gott. He was a truck driver as well as serving as a long-time minister. He formerly pastored at Belmont Chapel and at Bethel Lane Community Church where he still maintained his membership. He was the Camp Chairman at Shady Springs Campground on Hwy 50 East in Bedford and had ministered to many families for many years throughout this area. He was also a member of Teamsters Union Local #135
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (Allender) Gott, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on March 27; three sons, Frank Alan (Esther) Gott, of Nashville, Indiana, Jeffery Wayne (Angela) Gott, of Bloomington and Thomas Mark Gott, of Bloomington; one former daughter-in-law, Jeanne Morron, of Bloomington; two brothers, Virgil (Loretta) Gott, of Indianapolis and John (Jan) Gott, of Mooresville; three sisters, Violet Duffy, Shirley (Eugene) Morrow and Mona (Al) Walkup, all of Indianapolis, thirteen grandchildren, Stacie, Tracie, Josh, Nate, Jeffrey, Lacie, Tanner, Tommy, Tyler, Stephanie, Kayla, Julia and Jacob; ten great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Courtney, Morgan, Gracie, Eliza, Nathan, Jordan, Coby, Kyli and Wyatt. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Pamela Elaine Gott, one son, Jerry Duane Gott, two sisters, Molly Mitchell and Bonnie Flynn and two brothers-in-law, Robert Duffy and Bobby Mitchell.
The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Day Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Jeffrey Gott (his grandson), Bobby Calvert and Roger Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Cemetery where the Veterans Honor Guard will perform military graveside rites. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
