

Freddie James Walls, 70, of Bloomington, died Wednesday morning, April 30, 2014 in his residence. Born May 28, 1943, in Choctaw County, Oklahoma, he was the son of Fred Albert Walls and Jean Arbuckle Walls. He was owner of Bloomington Bandag Tire Company. Freddie also built homes for several years with his father and brothers in partnership as Fred A. Walls & Sons Construction. Freddie was a member of North Central Church of Christ. He was a 1961 graduate of Bloomington High School where he participated in both football and basketball. Freddie loved, cherished, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Shirlee Deckard Walls; children, James Walls and wife Cathy, Chris Walls and wife Nina, Stacie Eads and husband Mark and Whitney Eads and husband Nathan all of Bloomington; eight grandchildren, Brooke Walls, Hannah Walls, Lauren Walls, Taylor Walls, Mitchell Walls, Eli Eads, Ella Eads and William Eads; two brothers, Dannie and Mike Walls; a sister, Dawna Walls-Miller; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Jeremy Eads.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Monday May 5, 2014 at 1:00 PM in Day Funeral Home, 4150 East Third St, with Brother Pat Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday May 4, 2014 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM in Day Funeral Home.
