Harry Lyle Doering Jr.

Harry L. Doering, Jr., age 77, of Springville, Indiana passed away Wednesday morning, November 12, 2025 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born April 19, 1948 in North Liberty, Indiana, he was the son of Harry L. Doering, Sr. and Lorna Irene (Campbell) Doering. Harry graduated from North Liberty High School, class of 1967. He served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a store manager for K-Mart at the Bloomington, Indiana East store, the Indianapolis West Washington store, Martinsville, Indiana and the Muncie, Indiana store. After working for K-Mart, he became a partner with GA Wright as a retail consultant. He traveled the country in his R.V. making many lasting relationships.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Darlene (Lewis) Doering, to whom he wed on October 25, 1969, his son, Harry L. (Nona) Doering, III, of Covington, Georgia, his daughter, Leslie (Darwin) Davis, of Bloomington, his brother Bruce (Renee) Doering, of South Bend, Indiana; four grandchildren, Kayla Doering (Corey) Ware, Darwin Davis, Jr., Dominique Davis and Kaitlyn Doering and one great-grandson, Carter Ware.

Per his wishes, there will be no services or visitation held in his memory.
