Myself and my family are so deeply saddened to hear of Uncle Henry's passing. You have all been in my thoughts and prayers these last few months and we send our deepest condolences and love to Ann, Michelle, Scot, Samantha and Evren. 

I will cherish lovely memories of time spent over many summers with Ann and Henry's annual visit to the UK, it was never long enough and sadly not possible the last few years...We loved having you both over for BBQ's, and conversation never ran dry, our children were extremely fond of you. I will personally miss the big bear hugs you gave, and your warm easy going persona.

A dedicated  USAF co-worker with me in the 1980s at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.  Henry (Hank) and Ann have been good friends ever since.  Hank and I both shared several similarities (besides both being stubborn).  We were both avid fans of classic movies and classic Jazz music.  May you be blessed in the next life my friend, as I have been blessed in knowing you in this life.  My condolences to Ann, Michelle and family!

so very sorry to hear that news - Henry Moyd was a hero and a legend . He had such an aura and he was even a pivotal base for naming our son.

When I think of Henry, memories come tumbling out… concerts at the Kammgarn, many dinners out with good friends, listening to music, his famous barbecued ribs (and don’t forget the hot dog!), holiday meals at home with the family, afternoons spent on the patio and their lovely garden, and more. To our friend and fellow veteran, Henry, or as some of us referred to him as Hank!  Henry was a really nice and good guy, down to earth, and would always tell it like it is.  Old school one might say and nothing wrong with that!  Claudine and I have many good memories of visits and dining out with a good meal, fun conversation and just having a nice time together with Hanks love of his life, Ann.  A friend like Henry can never be replaced, but will always be remembered.  Rest in peace our good friend.

I remember when I first came to South Carolina to live and my cousin Henry Louis was home to visit he had a tam applejack cap on I thought that was the coolest guy and he had took me around to meet some of our family and we ended up at Uncle Elijah house his granddad's house we had the best of time I felt like I new him all my life. The next time I saw him it was years later in Columbia at aunt/con Louella's house his mom. A great man never will forget him. Family I'm sorry for the loss of our love 💞  one. But it comes a time when we all must travel this same road, Sleep on cuz take your rest but God loves you best. With sincere sympathy.

Mr Moyd was my best friend Michelle’s father.   Mr Moyd was a great storyteller, had the best Dad jokes and had the best movie collection.  I thought it was amazing that although he worked two jobs, he still had time to volunteer to help with our high school basketball team.  He was also very kind and generous; the first time I met him, he handed Michelle a twenty dollar bill and told us to get something to eat and have some fun (I thought that was a lot of money back then).  I was lucky to be included in family birthday celebrations and even went to a saxophone concert with the family.  I always thought he was so cool.  Rest in peace Mr Moyd.

As the younger brother of Ann his wife. I remember being introduced to Henry. We got on well and had fun together working on an old Renault car together, and we were both surprised when it ran ok. Henry was a lovely chap and although we lived in different countries I and my family looked forward to Henry and Ann's visits. We will miss him so much. Rest in peace. Love Graham and Lynne xx

Uncle Henry. I have such fond memories. We only got to see you and Auntie Ann once a year but it was something I always looked forward to. I remember playing tennis with you (really badly) as a child. You were the first person I met who had a video camera… I thought you were so high tech! I know there’s some embarrassing footage of me somewhere! Who knew  deep-fried turkey would be so delicious?! And it was your chicken drumsticks that turned me from a vegetarian to a meat eater again. As I grew older your stories of your time in the airforce fascinated me, and I loved hearing about your nights out at Ronnie Scott’s in London back when you first met Ann. I’m so sad I won’t get to hear these stories again, or be near your calm and kind presence. I’m also sorry I can’t be there to say a proper goodbye. I hope you are at peace now.
