Juanita Alice Marlett

Juanita Alice (Underwood) Marlett, age 78, passed away peacefully January 15, 2026 after a long courageous fight with COPD. She was born to Wolform L. and Mary C. (Hubbord) Underwood on July 12, 1947 in Greencastle, Indiana.

Juanita graduated from Patricksburg High School in 1965. She retired from RCA in Bloomington, Indiana after 32 years of service. She attended Woodhaven Christian Church.

Juanita married the love of her life, David Marlett on January 3, 1969. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2011. After marrying David, she became the loving mother of David's children Randy, Steven, and Michael.

Juanita loved animals, especially horses, birds, cats, and dogs.

Juanita is survived by her sons, Randy (Lisa) Marlett and Steven (Pamela) Marlett, daughter-in-law, Maria Marlett. Grandchildren, Charles (Crystal) Marlett, Holly Marlett, Leesha Marlett, Allison Marlett, Rhea (William) Richardson, and Timothy Marlett. Also surviving her are great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Destyni, Hannah, Cypress, Joshua, and Jessica; along with one great-great-granddaughter, Laynee Rose born December 12, 2025.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; son, Michael A. Marlett; and siblings, John and Joe Underwood, as well as her sisters, Janet Marlett and Judy Embs.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 2pm at Woodhaven Christian Church; 3345 South Leonard Springs Road; Bloomington, Indiana 47403.
