Judith L. (Wrightsman) Brown, 78, Bloomington, IN, passed away July 24, 2021 in Bloomington. She was born in Nashville, IN and was married to her high school sweetheart, Robert D. Brown, for 39 years until his death in 2002 and they raised a family in Bloomington. She was a homemaker.
Judy was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, canning, reading and painting. She used to make her children groan when they passed a garage sale sign while driving because they seldom just drove by.
Survivors include one son; Scott R. Brown (Cheryl) and two daughters; Jessica J. Smith (Tom), and Laura Y. Stolberg (fiancé Brad Surian); all of Bloomington. Judy also leaves two brothers; Edward A. Wrightsman, Nashville, IN and Thomas C. Wrightsman, Valparaiso, FL; and two sisters, Sandra L. Taylor, Edgewater, FL, and Patricia A. Graphman, Martinsville, IN, and 3 grandchildren, Jacob Brown (Emily), Drake Smith and Erica Smith, and one great grandchild, Lilly Brown, all of Bloomington, IN.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Charles and Velma Wrightsman; and her sister, Joyce M. Turnbull and nephew, Jesse Sturm.
Rev. Jim Cain will officiate a memorial service in the chapel at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington, IN at 11am, Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
