Kathryn R. Bostic

Kathryn R. “Katie” Bostic, age 85, of Bloomington died Thursday, July 4, 2013 in the Golden Living Center. Born December 29, 1927 in Harrodsburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Marion and Blanche (McGlothlin) Bostic. She retired as a caregiver after 25 years of service. She had attended the Harrodsburg Assembly of God. She enjoyed cooking, working in many restaurants, fishing and working with her flowers.

She is survived by her one daughter, Nancy Purkhiser, of Williams, Indiana; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Clyde Patterson, of Bloomington and Robert and Ruth Patterson, of Bedford; one sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Fred Dorman, of Bloomington, ten grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Ruth Bostic, Jeanette Cain and Marjorie Bostic, one brother, Robert Bostic and two grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 12 Noon at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg with Pastor Terry Doane officiating. Burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 8, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. to 12 Noon at the cemetery.
