

Kenneth (Kenny) Eugene Fleener, born on June 23, 1935, peacefully passed away on February 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Kenney’s legacy of love and faith will be cherished by all who knew him.
Born to Charlie and Elsie (Erton) Fleener, Kenny grew up with strong family values, a great work ethic, and an unwavering faith that guided him throughout his life. Kenny was a life member of the Unionville Church of Christ and was an original board member of the Danny Smith Park. Kenny also enjoyed volunteering at Unionville High School as the official time/scorekeeper at the basketball games. He was a true outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish, and work on his farm. His commitment to his community was evident in all he did.
Kenneth retired from a fulfilling career at both Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Cook, Inc., where his dedication and integrity left a lasting impression on his colleagues and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Norma (McClary) Fleener, whose love and partnership were the cornerstone of his life and his brother Joe (Rosalie) Fleener.
Kenny’s memory will live on through his children: Debra (Scott) Moore, Randy (Janice) Fleener, and Denny (Chrissy) Fleener, along with their families who were his pride and joy. Kenny was blessed with a beautiful and growing family, including 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, all of whom were the light of his life. His legacy of love, wisdom, and faith will continue to inspire generations to come.
He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Louise Snoddy, Peg Crane, and Marie East, as well as his four brothers, Ivan, Chuck, Bob, and Harry Fleener. This family was a very close-knit bunch who loved family gatherings.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Unionville Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Monday, March 3 from 4:00-8:00 PM and service will be Tuesday, March 4 at 10 AM at Day Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, 4150 E 3rd St. Bloomington.
Kenny Fleener’s presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit and love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
