Butch was honest and humble, his eyes always told a story and you never left a conversation with him without a smile on your face. He loved visiting Disney World and going on Disney Cruises to the Caribbean; enjoyed going to the beach with friends; a connoisseur of sweets, especially pies and peaches; had a memorable sense of humor that could break through any tense situation; had a servants heart that looked for teachable moments; always looked for the laugh through his famous “Story Time” moments as his family all gathered around to listen with great intensity; LOVED his grandchildren with every ounce of his body up until the very end and had a deep bond with all three; included the phrase “God bless all the children of the world” in every prayer; believed in hard work and determination and impressed that upon his family; he always said “You never work a day in your life, if you love what you do”; and he loved his job because he got to play in the dirt every day.

Susan, we will not be in town for the visitation or funeral. I remember Butch, you and Sasha so many years ago when we worked at MCCSC. He was always so happy go lucky and his love for you and Sasha had no end. Prayers for peace and comfort for you and the family.

A wonderful gentle, gentleman. His huge heart was obvious and his love for his family was devotional. He will be fondly remembered by all those that knew him.

Butch was such a dear friend. He and I shared a love for aviation. His face would light up whenever we started talking about flying either those real machines or the many models he had purchased over the years.

However, the one thing I will always associate with Butch was his love for banana pudding!! It all started when he did some work for us and as we were paying him, he asked for two of Marilyn's banana puddings in addition to the check. He definitely loved banana pudding!!

I always looked forward to seeing Larry when he’d bring his dogs to me for grooming. We had such wonderful conversations. Whenever the cold weather set in we agreed it was time to move to the Bahamas!! I will miss him very much. Sending my condolences to Susan and the family.
