Linda Ann Webb

Linda Ann Webb, 83, of Ellettsville, Indiana, was born November 28, 1942, in New Albany, Indiana, and passed away on May 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the daughter of B.G. “Sandy” Hanner of Heltonville and Ruth Atwood of Stinesville.

Linda lived in many states throughout her childhood, gathering experiences and friendships that helped shape the steadfast, capable woman she became. She graduated from Troy High School in Akron, Ohio, in 1960, and built a life marked by diligence and perseverance. Over the years, she worked in a wide variety of roles, including truck driving, serving in the Florida Police Department office, working for the Indiana University Athletic Department, owning and operating a daycare, working in insurance, and providing transcription for IMA in Bloomington, Indiana—always meeting each season with a strong work ethic and a steady sense of purpose.

Above all else, Linda’s most cherished calling was motherhood. She poured her heart into her children: Kevin (Tressa) Webb of Ellettsville and Meghan (Phillip) Ray of Spencer, as well as her stepchildren Bernie (Roxanne) Harding of New Hampshire, Leatha (Gary) Smith, and Kyle (Julie) Webb. Her love for her family was constant and unwavering, and she remained a deeply beloved presence—one whose strength could be counted on and whose care could be felt.

Linda’s deepest calling was her ministry. She founded Way Maker Ministry through Unchained Ministries at the House of Prayer in Ellettsville, where she worshipped faithfully for more than 20 years. A devoted member of Unchained, she carried an enduring commitment to helping others find freedom, healing, and hope. In the lives she touched, her faith was not merely spoken—it was lived, offered with compassion, and shared in a way that uplifted and inspired.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of strength, service, and love. She will be remembered for the way she made people feel seen and valued, and for the conviction with which she stood for what mattered. Having faced cancer four different times, she met each battle with resolve, drawing on a faith that did not waver and a spirit that remained unmistakably her own. Her presence was powerful, her words memorable, and her devotion to those she loved unmistakable.

A memorial ride will begin at Walmart in Spencer at 10:00 a.m., departing from there heading north on 67 to Walmart in Martinsville. The ride will depart from Martinsville heading south on 69 at 11:15 a.m. to Walmart in Bloomington. At 12:15 p.m., the ride will depart from the Bloomington Walmart to the House of Prayer in Ellettsville for the celebration of life. In honor of Linda’s dedication to meeting people where they were through her ministry, family and friends are welcome to join at any of these locations or along the route.

A memorial service honoring Linda’s life will be held July 18th at the House of Prayer on Hartstrait Road in Ellettsville. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with the memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and celebrate the life of a faithful, hard-working, inspirational, and deeply beloved woman.
