Lisa Rae Bowlen, 51, of Bloomington passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Lisa was a lifelong resident of Monroe County born on October 16, 1969 to Raymond and Judy (Robertson) Taylor. Lisa was a dedicated Department of Public Works employee for over twenty years, most recently with the Fleet Maintenance Division.

Lisa leaves behind her parents Raymond and Judy Taylor, her loving fiancé Brad Frankland, her son Brady Bowlen, his wife Aleksandra, Brad’s son Alex Frankland, as well as her grand-dogs Gunner and Nova that she enjoyed pet sitting for. Lisa also leaves behind a community of family and friends that she cared for dearly.

Lisa loved her family and friends fiercely, and there was never a dull moment when she was present. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, celebrating holidays, and traveling to anywhere a beach was close. She attended Sherwood Oaks Christian Church.

If you knew Lisa, you knew that she would always have a radiating smile to greet you, and you knew she was going to be quick with laughter and helpful in any way she could be. In her passing, Lisa continued giving by being an organ and tissue donor.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 4-8pm at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E Third St. Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1pm at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home. Judy and Raymond, I was soooo sorry to hear of Lisa's passing...what a lovely, wonderful, smart young lady. We all had some wonderful times together with Jason and Lisa playing together when they were little...so much fun and laughter shared at those times. I mourn with you, she was taken way too soon....we'll never understand why. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers...sending big hugs and much love to you both. Sorry I can't be there. God Bless all of you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Taylor family and friends. I didn't know Lisa real well but she was always very nice and had a smile on her face. May she rest comfortably in heaven.

My heart still hurts with the news, but going through my pictures this one made me smile, I remember the convo leading up to this and us laughing till our bellies hurt over the off guard face you made. Haha I remember exactly what you said I can still hear your laugh! I'll keep your words of wisdom close to my heart, always! Your bubbly personality and our morning talks definitely got me through some dark and confusing times. I will always be grateful for your friendship, until we can have our morning talks again! My thoughts and prayers go out to all your family and friends! May God grant them peace, comfort, and strength through this time. Ill miss you so much! ❤

I'm so sorry to hear of Lisa's passing. I've known her since she was a little girl, she was just as sweet then as she was as an adult. I also worked with Lisa when she was a hairstylist at Perfect Illusion on 4th street. She was always sweet and so much fun. My heart goes out to her family and fiance. Until we meet again sweet girl.
