Marla Jean Cox

Marla Jean Duncan Cox, 64, of Spencer passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 in her home with her family at her side. She was born August 16, 1958 in Bloomington to Gordon B. Duncan and Mary A. Fulford Duncan. She had been a cook in several Fraternities and Nursing Homes in the area.

Survivors include her two daughters, Adria Boruff of Bloomington and Nory Bruhn of Spencer; her mother, Mary Duncan; two sisters, Teresa Long and Kathy Duncan; a brother, Eric (Sherry) Duncan; five grandchildren, Dylan and Jacob Rains, and Nevaeh, Joshua and Izabella Roberts; a grand pup, Angel; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon B. Duncan; and a daughter, Ivy Cox who died in infancy.

Marla was a Christian,, she enjoyed spending time with her family, her dogs, watching Netflix, collecting rocks, being outdoors and going swimming.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 East Third Street, Bloomington, with Brother Justin Rains officiating; burial will follow in Liberty Church Cemetery. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends prior to services on Thursday from 11:00 to 1:00.
