
Mary Margaret Caves, age 63, of Spencer, died Thursday evening at her residence. Born December 18, 1951 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Clarence Leon and Alta (Harden) Pennington. She retired as a cook at Indiana University. She loved crocheting, sewing and watching television game shows, “Let’s Make A Deal” and “The Price is Right” and talk shows, “Steve Wilkos” and “Jerry Springer”. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by them.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Allen Caves, Sr., of Spencer; her daughter, Tina Caves, of Spencer; step-son, Steven Allen Caves, Jr., of San Antonio, TX ; one grandson, Marcus Tyler Caves; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Fannie Pennington, of Ellettsville and Earnest and Ada Pennington, of the Chapel Hill area of Monroe County and three nieces, Carrie Stillions and Amanda Sharp, both of Bloomington and Sheyanna Pennington, of Ellettsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Claude Pennington and one sister, Karen Sue Stillings.
There will be no services or visitation at this time. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
