Mary "Jane" Marshall

Mary “Jane” (Goodwin) Marshall, age 65, of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday evening, February 8, 2023 at her residence. Born December 29, 1957 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Donald R. Goodwin, Sr. and Carol “Sue” (Junker) Goodwin. She attended Indiana University and formerly worked at the Credit Bureau and the Bloomington branch of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles until she decided to have her kids. She then made it her mission to become the best stay-at-home mom. Jane married Gregory W. Marshall on November 16, 1984 in Bloomington and they both attended St. Paul United Methodist Church. She loved all sports, but was a die-hard Cubs fan. She also enjoyed reading books and when she was able to, she did all kinds of crafts and sewing. She made loving her family her career. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Patrick Kevin Goodwin and William Scott Goodwin, her fraternal grandparents and maternal grandparents. Jane is survived by her loving husband, Gregory, her daughter Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Marshall along with her partner, Cabren Gooch, her son, Christopher Daniel Marshall, her two beloved grandchildren, Ryan Wayne Gooch and Eleanor Elizabeth Maree Gooch, a brother and his wife, Donald R. Goodwin, Jr. and Sheila (Lentz) Goodwin, all of Bloomington along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 25 from 1:00 p.m.to 4:00 p.m. at the Monroe County Fairgrounds Auditorium.
