Miriam Lee Michael

Miriam Lee Michael, 74, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 21, 1951 to Marvin and Merle Michael. Miriam attended school in Bloomington, Indiana and worked for many years at Stonebelt Services of Indiana. For the past many years, Miriam has been under the care of Developmental Services of Bloomington. United Presbyterian was Miriam's church home and attending the Sunday service was the highlight of her week. Her outgoing personality brought many friends into her life and she cherished each one of them. We greatly appreciate the love and care given to Miriam by Victoria Purtlebaugh, Christina Harris, Angela Jeffrey, Patty Reed McGuire, and many others. The care and guidance that Miriam received from these dear people has been outstanding.

Surviving are her brother Richard (Gail) Michael of Carmel, IN, nieces Marla Michael, Claire Michael, Ally Michael, and nephew Todd Michael. Miriam's parents and brother Paul Michael preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held at Day & Deremiah Frye funeral home, 4150 E. 3rd St., Bloomington, IN on Saturday, May 9 from 10-11am. Memorial contributions in Miriam's name may be given to United Presbyterian Church, 1701 E. 2nd St.. Bloomington, IN 47401 or to Developmental Services, 200 E. Winslow Rd., Bloomington, IN 47401.
