

Nathan C. Hampton died on August 6, 2012 in IU Health Hospital, Bloomington, IN. He was 63 years old.Nathan was born in Bloomington to William and Margoline Hampton on November 5, 1948. Nathan was a US Army veteran stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War.He married Mary Ann Shields on October 14, 1979. He worked as an assembler for GE for 12 years and also worked for Don Bush Moving and Storage for 31 years.Nathan and Mary Ann were members of the Crusin’ Classic Car Club and they both enjoyed going to flea markets.Nathan is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann, one brother, Jeffrey Hampton, and three sisters; Pamela Rose Hampton, Teresa Lynn Hampton and Cara Faye McClure. He is also survived by his niece Amber Marie Albano and two great nephews; Jeffrey and Wesley O’Banion. Friends may call on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. in Day Funeral Home, 4150 E. 3rd St., Bloomington, IN 47401. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 in New Union Baptist Church, New Unionville, IN.
