

Nola J. “Nolie” Kisters, 90, of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013. She was born June 7, 1923 in Bloomington to Stacy and Vanna (Chandler) Eads. Nolie and husband Gerry owned and operated a licensed day care home and Kisters’ Furs for many years.
Survivors include son Dick (Marilyn) Kisters, daughters Ginger Christie, Linda (Jerry) Dayhuff, and Judy (Bill) Inlow, all of Bloomington, brother Forrest “Jim” Eads of Bloomington, sister Mary Lois “Tiny” Robertson of Plainfield, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Gerry H. Kisters in 1986, and brother Clifford “Tip” Eads.
Nolie was a long-time member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was also a member of Kappa Delta Phi philanthropic sorority for nearly 60 years during which time she travelled to numerous national and regional conventions.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 22 at Day Funeral Home, 4150 East 3rd St., from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Monday December 23 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 2224 East 3rd St., with Father Tom Kovatch officiating, assisted by Deacon Marc Kellams. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
