She graduated from West Baden High School in 1957 and was a proud Sprudel. Woodie’s military career took them across the United States but they chose to move to Bloomington as their post military home. Norma was many things-a dental hygienist, telephone operator, and her most enjoyed job-Office Manager for Howard Young at Fountain Park Apartments. In her retirement, she enjoyed time in her yard, lunch dates with friends, decorating for the seasons (she had impeccable taste) and going to“The Valley” with her friend, Betsy, to visit family.
Her favorite joy was being a mother to Mike Farris; Mamie to Mechelle, Amanda, and David Farris; and Great-Mamie to Kyan and Arlo and they will all miss her very much. She is survived by her sister, Mary, Lou Parsons, “baby” brother, Junior (Joyce) Rasche, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Woodie, her mother, Helen, and daddy Bernard, sister, Clara, and brother David.
No services will be held but a celebration of life may be held at a later date.
