Olive Marie White, age 72, of Bloomington died Thursday (01/02/20) at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Olive was born February 19, 1947 in Bloomington, the daughter of Warren and Alice (Mobley) Aynes. Olive was a private duty caregiver for the elderly before retiring. After retiring, she owned and operated Cookie's Day Care. Olive was of the Pentecostal faith, loved growing flowers, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, crocheting, embroidery and watching animals in nature, especially birds.
Olive is survived by her loving husband, James Leroy White, to whom she was married on December 31, 1963; two sons, James Allen White (wife-Tammy) and Randall White (wife-Judy), all of Bloomington; three daughters, Alice Oneda White, of Bloomington, Esther Marie Laffin (companion- Stan Lane), of Bedford and Cindy Westfall (husband-Scott), of Bloomington, one brother, William Aynes, of Ellettsville; three sisters, Judith Carol Wade, Joyce Livingston and Margaret “Annie” Pemberton all of Bloomington, thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Olive was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Orville Aynes.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. with Pastor Bruce Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Knightridge Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
