Pauline Burch

October 22, 1924September 9, 2019

Pauline Burch was born Pauline Hutchens on October 22, 1924 in Greene County, Indiana. Two words that best describe her are generous and kind. In her nearly 95 years, she was many things to many people. She was a devoted wife to her husband Carl. She has been a wonderful mother to her daughter, Carla Tidd and her late son Ross. She was a loving and teasing mother-in-law to Charlie Tidd and the world’s best Mamaw to Amber Murphy and April Peace (Jeremy.) She has loved seeing the birth of her four great-grandchildren, Carley, Clayton, Stella and Conner. She was a beloved “Aunt Paupie” to her nieces and nephews. She cherished her step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Her heart was never too small for extra friends and family. She was a member of Dive Christian Church in Bedford and taught a preschool class through Bible Study Fellowship, which was one of the highlights of her life. A Hoosier at heart, she lived out her best years in Bedford and Bloomington before relocating to Jefferson Manor in Louisville, Kentucky in October 2018, where the nurses and aides laughed with her and loved her as their own, and she would want to thank them. She was preceded in death by her mother, Flo, stepmother, Dessie, her father, Harlan, her husband, Carl, her son, Ross, and her siblings, Wilbur, Imojean, Marie, Oris and Lee. Though her years on earth were many, our hearts are heavy without her. We take peace knowing her reward is great in heaven. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hosparus Health. Visitation for Pauline will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, Indiana 47401. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Stephen Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Carmichael Cemetery, Greene County, Indiana. To the Family:

I am so very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing, Carla. She was a wonderful, warm-hearted woman. I will forever remember her in her pretty dresses and heels, every day. She made the best baked beans and iced tea! She was a wonderful cook! I was blessed to have your family to stay with, whenever my parents went on a weekend getaway. I remember so many days coming over to your house after swimming at Thornton, or playing tennis together. Thank you for letting me be a part of her life! Love, Sally Jeskewich Meridith

Hello to the family of Pauline Burch.
Sorry to hear of her passing.
I am Carol Ann (Bailey) Conder. My father was Roy Bailey and I believe he and Pauline were first cousins. I worked at the Eastern Branch of Bloomfield State Bank and met Pauline there. I did meet Carla a few times as she came with Pauline. Of course I new Wilbur and Veva from growing up around their family.
Dad died in 2013, he was the last one of his brothers and sisters.
I remember your Mother always sweet and always looked like she stepped out of a band box.

Deepest Sympathy

Carol Ann

Carla and family... I thought I would share a few memories of Pauline.
She was always a joy to be around.
I loved her laughter! She and my mom always loved their time together.
Memories from my earlier years......l loved visiting your home. Your mom was a great cook and your home was always immaculate!
I am sure Pauline and mom are already cleaning their mansions in heaven!
We miss them but I am sure they would say "Don't weep for us, we are in a happier place."
Love to all,
Marsha and family
