Peggy J. Price

Peggy J. Price, 94, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023. She was born on January 27th, 1929, in Bloomington, Indiana, the daughter of the late Lyle and Blanche Fowler. Peggy graduated from Bloomington High School in 1947 and graduated from Indiana University in 1951 with a degree in Home Economics. Peggy married Carl Price in 1952, who was also from Bloomington, Indiana.

She was an active member of the North Central Church of Christ and loved spending time with family and friends. She and her husband especially enjoyed traveling with their bank travel clubs to several domestic and international destinations. Peggy was always a joy to be around and will be deeply missed.

Peggy is survived by her brother, Dr. Richard Fowler; her children Jeff Price and his wife Patti Price, Cheryl Tharp and her husband Dr. Rhett Tharp, and Ron Price and his wife Mandy Price; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Nathan and Jared Price, Heather Brewer, David, Allan and Jason Tharp, and Heath and Wade Price; eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Carl Price, and her parents.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, April 3rd, at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home (4150 E. 3rd Street, Bloomington, IN 47401). A private, family-only Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:00 am on Monday, April 3rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to I.U. Simon Cancer Center, P.O. Box 7072, Indianapolis, IN 46207.
