Ralph Axsom

He was born October 20, 1924 in Bloomington, IN the son of the late Jason and Cordella Axsom.

Ralph was a foreman for many years at Empire Stone Mill; he also was the owner of a service station on second and College Street in Bloomington. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering in his yard and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 79 years, Wilma Axsom, his three sons, Ralph Axsom, Jr. and his wife Patty, Gary Axsom, and Tom Axsom and his wife Nancy; his daughter, Carol Ferguson; eight grandchildren, Brian Keith Axsom, Todd Axsom, Brian Lee Axsom, Megan Axsom, Scott Osborne, Robin Sullivan, Chad Osborne, and Charles Osborne; and many other beloved extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steve Axsom, daughter-in-law, Myra Axsom; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
