Raymond “Bo” Earl Johnson, Jr. passed away in Bloomington, Indiana on September 26, 2026 at the age of 72. Bo was born in Bloomington on February 19, 1954, to parents Patricia and Raymond Earl Johnson, Sr. Bo was an only child who formed close relationships with his extended family, particularly his cousins.
Bo attended the newly-built Bloomington North High School, and was a member of its first graduating class. He was fantastic with children, and worked for years at the Banneker Center, which he called the Gym. Bo also worked in receiving at the southside Marsh Supermarket from the day it opened until the day it closed. He was a member of the congregation at Second Baptist.
Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Raymond Earl Johnson, Sr.; and his longtime girlfriend, Irma “Peanut” Davis.
Bo is survived by his cousin Sherri Norris; friend Joanne Williams; and extended family. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
