Born November 28, 1988, in Hammond, Indiana, he was the son of Joe Compion and Katrina Foster. He had a unique perspective on life, a kind heart, and an unrivaled sense of humor. Ever the entrepreneur, Richard had supreme salesmanship skills. He last worked for Papa John’s here in Bloomington but previously sold everything from Kirby vacuums to cars. But he was prouder of being a great father to his son, Achilles, who was with him at the time of the accident and is now fighting to recover from his severe injuries. Richard was a spiritual man who believed in God. Richard is survived by his son, Achilles Compion, of Bloomington; the mother of his son, Kennita Duncan, of Bloomington; his older brother, Joe Compion, of Bloomington; his three younger brothers, Dakota Spoor, David Spoor and Alex Spoor, all of Valparaiso, Indiana; maternal grandmother, Nancy Bateman, of Hobart, Indiana; his aunt, who played an important role in his life, Kasandra Foster, of Commerce City, Colorado; and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins.
