Robert George Stubbings

He was born July 2, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to Hilda Uren Stubbings and the late George A. Stubbings.

Bob is survived by his mother, Hilda Uren Stubbings; his brother; Carl H. Stubbings and his sister Kathrine Stubbings.

Robert (Bob) was a gentleman and a scholar. He had a number of advanced Degrees including PhDs from both Vanderbilt and Indiana State Universities.

Bob was a professor at several universities and greatly enjoyed teaching and learning.

He had a keen sense of humor and was known for his wit and sense of fun

.

In his youth he loved tennis and baseball both as a player and as a spectator.

Bob was passionate about classical music especially Mozart, Schubert and Bach. He played several musical instruments himself.

Throughout his illness, Bob was both courageous and brave. He was an example to us all.

He will be sorely missed and remembered always. “Goodnight Sweet Prince”…..
