Roy Dennis Tindal

Roy was born March 4th, 1941 in Louisville, KY to the late Anna M. Price and adopted father the late Jim Price. Roy attended Georgetown College, where he obtained a degree in Sociology and Biblical Studies. He then attended Southern Baptist Seminary of Louisville, KY. Roy had a servant’s heart and used his biblical knowledge and love for Jesus serving as a pastor and volunteer at several local churches and Youth for Christ throughout Kentucky, Iowa, and Indiana.

While attending school he met the love of his life Lucie Jane Phillips. They were married December 21st, 1962. Roy was a loving husband and best friend to Lucie for 62 years. Roy was the father to three sons: James (Amy), Jonathan (Felicia) and Joseph. He was family oriented and loved spending time with his grandchildren: Payton and Riley Tindal and Kate and Payton Kitterman. Roy cherished his sweet puppy Anna.

Roy was a gentle giant with a great sense of humor. He was a friend and mentor to many as he loved his Lord Jesus and served with great joy and thankfulness. If asked Roy, would describe his life in this Bible Verse, “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus,” (Philippians 1:6). Although gone from his Earthly home, Roy was looking forward to the day where he could spend eternity with his Heavenly Father.

Services will be held at Maple Grove Christian Church, 1503 West Simpson Chapel Rd, Bloomington, IN on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2:00pm. Will be streamed live on Facebook at www.dayderemiahfrye.com.

An independent time of visitation with family and friends will be held in the fellowship hall after the service starting at 3:30pm.
