Sam is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mamie "Mame" Dodero. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Laura Dodero.
Memberships include St. John Catholic Church, the Retriever Club the ASPCA and the NRA. Sam loved his dogs, especially his number 1 retriever Jake. He went to many competitions with Jake and was very successful. He also enjoyed hunting, watching horse racing, the NFL and being in the Post Office Football Pools.
Graveside Services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 3:00 PM in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Father Dennis Duevelius officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home.
