Sharron Kay (Martin) Funkhouser, 86, of Bloomington, IN passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026. She was born April 28, 1940, in Monroe County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Raymond and Liddy Martin.
Sharron was a member of Solsberry Methodist Community Church. She enjoyed restoring old cars, woodworking, jigsaw & crossword puzzles, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Sharron is survived by her loving daughter, Jeri Kay Sparks, and her husband Rick; her favorite grandson, Aiden Preston Sparks; and many other beloved family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Duane Funkhouser; her brother, Raymond “Padge” Martin, Jr. and a sister, Susie Allen.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home.
