Tammy Lynn Roten

Tammy Lynn Roten, 49 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Born in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Earl and Delois Sue Neace Dillon. She attended the Church of God in Abbs Valley, VA. She loved children and had a motherly calming effect. She had worked over 12 years as a Title 1 Aide at Boissevain/Abbs Valley Elementary School. Tammy was passionate about her family, enjoying get-togethers, cooking for them or just simply being in their company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece: Teresa Ruble.

She will be lovingly and affectionately missed by her husband of 28 years: Chris Roten of Bluefield, VA; her children: James Paul Roten and Priscilla Ann Roten both of Bluefield, VA; siblings: Patty Ruble (Amos McGlothlin) of Boissevain, VA, Jimmie Dillon (Nancy) of Falls Mills, VA, Johnnie Dillon (Barbara) of Abbs Valley, VA, Cathy Shupe (Ernie) of Abbs Valley, VA, Carolyn O’Dell (Tommy) of Hiwassee, VA, Jerry Dillon (Mary) of Abbs Valley, VA, Timothy Dillon of Clinch River, VA and Donna Dillon (Billy Childress) of Bluefield, WV; nieces and nephews too numerous to name.

A service to celebrate Tammy’s life will be held Monday, October 18, 2021 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Johnnie Mize and Pastor Vic Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.
