Carmela "Camille" Cavagnaro

Camille Cavagnaro, 87, of Revere, formerly of Boston’s North End. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on June 6, 2026. Loving daughter of the late Dante and Adeline (Genovese) DiFronzo. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Camille’s greatest joy in life was the family she cherished so deeply.

She was the beloved wife of 67 years to Louis Cavagnaro Jr., loving mother of Adele Cataldo and her husband, Daniel Jr., and Louis Cavagnaro III and his wife, Christine. Cherished “Ma” of Daniel Cataldo III and his wife, Rachel, Louis Cataldo and his wife, Lauren, Louis Cavagnaro IV and his wife, Kelsey, AnneMarie Valarese and her husband, Joey, and Christina Cavagnaro and her wife, Lauren.

Camille was the proud and loving great-grandmother of Adriana, Valentina, and Capria Cataldo, Lorenzo and Carmine Valarese, and Antonio Cataldo, all of whom brought immense happiness to her life.

She was the devoted sister of Ella Volpe and her late husband Charlie, the late Archangelo “Bochie” DiFronzo, and the late Dante DiFronzo and his surviving wife Marilyn. She was also the beloved sister-in-law of Stanley and Lynn Cavagnaro.

Camille will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She had a special love for playing cards and enjoyed many happy hours around the card table with family and friends. She also loved visiting the casino, where her sense of fun and enthusiasm shined through. Whether spending time with loved ones, enjoying a card game, or trying her luck at the slot machine, Camille treasured the moments that brought people together and created lasting memories.

She touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her family, Camille is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A Funeral Mass is held for Camille on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10 AM in St. Leonard Church, 320 Hanover Street in Boston, MA. Services will conclude at Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Rd, Medford, MA.
