Abruzzio, Marie C.(Ree Ree) (Vaccaro), 89 years of age, of Revere, MA, formerly of Boston's North End and Medford, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, surrounded by family. Beloved wife of Carlo Abruzzio. Loving mother of Thomas Abruzzio of Revere, Kenneth Abruzzio of Revere, and Carla Abruzzio Havanidis of Revere. Loving Mimi to George and Kate Havanidis of Woburn. Daughter of the late Antonio and Anna Vaccaro. Sister to the late Anthony Vaccaro, Salvatore Vaccaro, and Anna {Babe) and Ivan Molina Sr. Loving sister to Nick {Iggy) Vaccaro and Corrine. Dolores (Lola) and James Bonfilio, Carmella {Chickey) Lynch and James Cali, and Charlene Campasano. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as friends and her chosen children and grandchildren. She will be extremely missed by her fur babies Leo, Gia and Rocco.
A Morning Visitation will be held in the J.S. Waterman Langone Chapel, 580 Commercial St., Boston, MA, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 8 am to 10:30 am., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in St. Leonard Church, 320 Hanover Street, Boston, MA, at 11 am. Services will conclude at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, MA. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marie's memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
