Just heard about Bob's passing. I remember all the fun times we had at Longwood, the University club, and Waterville with the "group" - the Malloys, the Kirks, and the Whalens!!

Dear Malloy family,

You don't know me but I went to BC High with Bob and played hockey with him there.  In Senior year, he and I were defense partners.  But we also had many classes together and hung out a lot.  If I recall correctly, his Dad died in WWII as did mine, we were only sons, and raised by our Moms. So we had a lot in common.  Life took us different directions but I have always remembered him as one of my favorite friends in those years and hoped to see that big smile again.  I am sure the loss is great and pray God will give you the strength needed to accept his passing. - Jerry O'Brien

Rita--I enjoyed working with Bob and getting to know him, especially in our last few years at Merrill Lynch.  He was special and I'm really sorry for your loss--you and he have always been a team--few conversations happened where he didn't mention your name. My thoughts are with you.

I was very sorry to read of Bob's death. While we had not seen each other in many years, my heart fell yet immediately warmed to memories of our interactions, his most congenial, sincere and easy manner. He must have been a great partner, father and friend to many.

Margery and I are very saddened to hear of Bob's passing.  We remember well all the skiing fun we had at Waterville.  I just had a minor surgical procedure and cannot attend the funeral, but our hearts will be with you and your family.

Rita - Bob was an incredible colleague for many years at Merrill.  You both took me out when I worked in London back in 1996.   That was above and beyond and a true kindness to a young person in a new city.  Sending prayers and love to you and the entire family.

My name is Michael O'Connell and I played hockey with Bob with the old Lynchmen Team in South Boston. I also lived on "N" St. and we went to many hockey games together playing for Danny Lynch. I last saw Bob quite some time ago when we had a time for Dan before he passed away. I was saddened when I saw the notice this morning and can only say that Bob was one of the classiest guys I ever grew up with in South Boston. He was a great hockey player and we always kidded as myself and my brother Dennis went to BU and Bob went to BC. 
I really never knew you, but you can know that our hearts are sad this morning over the loss of your husband.

Rita, Pat and Kathryn, So sorry to learn of Bob's passing. No one brought more energy, passion and opinion to a conversation or a court. Bob and you opened your home and hearts to us in our early years in Back Bay for which we will be ever grateful. Wonderful memories of walks home to the Clarendon Street playground to meet the kids.
