1937–2026
Carollee Beverly Hathaway, 89, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026. She was born in Cut Bank, Montana, and spent her life creating a beautiful legacy through the love she gave to her family and the many lives she touched.
Carollee was a woman of deep faith and was committed to her relationship with Christ. She was a longtime and devoted member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland, where her faith and church community were an important part of her life.
Carollee’s greatest joy was her family. She was immensely proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she never missed an opportunity to show them off. Her family was at the center of her world, and the love and pride she had for each of them was unmistakable.
Carollee is survived by her son, Jeffrey Hathaway, and his spouse, Ronica; her grandchildren Ian, Olivia, Brent, and Kelton (Keirsten); and her great-granddaughter Piper.
She is also survived by her daughter, Leann Henrickson, and her spouse, Brian; her grandchildren Jacob, Nicole (Sam), Jessica, and Chad; and her great-grandchildren Kaia and Soren.
Carollee found happiness in the simple things that made life special. She loved going to the Bothell Senior Center, where she participated in the driftwood class. She took great pride in the beautiful driftwood pieces she created, and each one reflected her creativity, patience, and love of making something special with her own hands.
During the years she shared with her beloved husband, Donald D. Hathaway, they enjoyed fly fishing together on the rivers and traveling. Those days spent outdoors together became cherished memories that she carried with her throughout her life.
Carollee was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, the tremendous pride she took in her family, the joy she found in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and the love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald D. Hathaway.
Carollee leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and who will carry her memory in their hearts. Her greatest legacy is the family she cherished so dearly, the faith that guided her, and the love she gave them—a love that will continue through every generation that follows.
