Charles (“Tony”) Partington, age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2019. He was born January 15, 1949 in Seattle to Joseph and Elizabeth (“Peg”) Partington. He was a 1967 graduate of Blanchet High School, and later received a BA and Masters in Finance and Seattle University.
While known most for his quick-witted humor and love for his family and friends, Tony was also a fighter, battling myriad illnesses for the greater part of his life. In spite of these medical challenges, he held strong to his faith and lived as a model of how to live, love and serve.
Tony worked as a banker early in his career before starting his career with the church. He later worked as a parish administrator and financial specialist at St. Michael’s Parish in Snohomish and then St. Louise Parish in Bellevue. He has spent countless volunteer hours at his home parish, St. Brendan’s, serving as chair of the finance council, coaching youth basketball teams and serving on the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed many passions in life, especially basketball and World War II airplanes.
He is survived by Dolores, his wife of 44 years; his brother, Joe; his son, Phil and his wife, Rachel, and three grandsons and one granddaughter; and his daughter, Elizabeth, and her husband, Brandon. He joins his parents; brother, Richard; close friend, Bill Ryan; and many other loved ones in heaven.
Family, friends and others whose lives Tony touched are invited to St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Bothell, WA on August 2nd, 2019 for the 11:00 a.m. mass at 10100 NE 192nd St., to share in the celebration of his life. Rosary will be said at 10:30.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tony Partington’s name to the St. Martin’s University: Captain Joseph C. and Elizabeth V. Partington Scholarship fund.
