George Eckman Pittenger

George, his mother and 2 brothers moved to Seattle, WA when George was a young boy. He grew up and built his career and family in the Seattle area. George served in the US Army and was honorably discharged and pursued a college education. After graduating from Western Washington University George was a teacher for a short period of time, then transitioned into the banking industry. After a 31 year career in banking George retired as a Certified Trust Financial Advisor.

In his retirement George was a stay-at-home dad to his 2 children Trent and Ashley; taking an active role in their schooling and sports. George was a loving father, husband and grandfather and did everything for his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, Adeline and 2 brothers Harry and Jim.

He is survived by his wife, Lourdes, his son, Trent and his daughter Ashley. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Janice Pittenger. As well as 3 grandchildren Trent Jr., Tiffany and Adrian.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, WA. for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.

A memorial service is being planned by George’s family and details will be shared soon.
