Jacqueline Jean Brase

Jacquie was born in Seattle, Washington, on February 22, 1933, to George and Maxine Talke. She attended Garfield High School and graduated from Bothell High School in 1950. She then completed one year at Washington State University.

Jacquie worked as a secretary at Plywood Supply, where she met and fell in love with Emery Brase. They were married on May 2, 1959, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Jacquie and Emery lived on a 20-acre ranch in Bothell, where they raised their two daughters, Lori and Sandie. Jacquie loved entertaining and hosted parties for every holiday and occasion. She was also an avid reader and was actively involved with Children's Hospital, PTA, and the Republican National Committee. She was especially proud to have been invited to attend President Richard Nixon's inauguration.

Jacquie and Emery traveled the world together and enjoyed spending time at their beach house on Hood Canal. In 1999, they moved to Kirkland, where they were both active members of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

Jacquie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emery. She is survived by daughters, Lori Brase Duncan (Brent) of Kirkland and Sandie Brase of Coconut Creek, Florida; grandsons, Bradley Duncan of Walnut Creek, California, and Bryan Duncan (Adrianne) and great-granddaughter, Madison Duncan of Liberty Lake, Washington.

She will be laid to rest at Bothell Pioneer Cemetery.
