Lon Willard Berube

Lon Willard Berube, age 85, of Port Orford, Oregon passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Lon was born in Portland, Oregon October 13, 1937 to Mildred Naoma Payne and Narcisse Virgil Berube. After graduating high school, he joined the USMC Reserves and relocated to Seal Beach, Ca. He spent the next 40+ years in Huntington Beach and Long Beach, California until relocating to Port Orford, Oregon after retiring from Rockwell International, where he worked in many capacities over 36+ years. He and his wife loved living in Port Orford and volunteered for many events there. Once retired, he and his wife, Vena, enjoyed traveling with friends in their RV, traversing much of the United States, including Alaska.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vena (Watt) Berube, his children Terri Bartos of Scotts Valley, CA, Mark (Syndee) Berube of Indianapolis, IN, Cheryl Berube of Rancho Cordova, CA and Deborah (Curt Stark) Berube of Folsom, CA, his Step-daughter Lynda (Connor) O'Regan of Kirkland, WA, 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and several great-grandchildren. Additionally, he leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

No services are planned, but the family intends to return to Port Orford, Oregon to spread his ashes at the ocean there at a later date.
