Besides nursing, her passion was to travel and explore new places which led her and her two friends to drive across the country to Seattle. It was there that she married and had two children and began her career at Seattle Children's Hospital.

She is survived by her children Heidi, Scott (Karen) and one grandson Cody and many close friends that she considered family, To many she was called Oma Marge.

Besides nursing and raising a family, she enjoyed knitting, gardening and traveling all over the world. Many of the places she traveled to were Europe, China, the Panama Canal, South America and her life long dream of going to Africa. To experience camping in the African bush and seeing her beloved elephants up close was so special and provided a lifetime of memories.
