He was born on February 5, 1940, in Seattle, Washington, to Owen Burke and Emily Marchese, who preceded him in death, as did his beloved wife, Dixie Burke.
Owen is survived by his son David (wife Kim) Burke, his daughter Christine (husband Robert) Arbuckle, and his granddaughters Taylor (husband John) Shine and Morgan (husband Daniel) Johnson. He also leaves behind his wife’s children, Terry Buell and Michelle Buell, their spouses and children, all of whom he held dear.
A proud entrepreneur, Owen was the longtime owner of Dave's Aurora Transmission in Seattle and Lynnwood, where his hard work and dedication earned him the respect of many. However, his greatest fulfillment came from spending time with family and friends.
Owen enjoyed a variety of pastimes, including fishing, car racing, camping, boating, skiing, and football, all of which he loved sharing with those closest to him.
Above all, he cherished gathering around the table for a good meal with loved ones.
Throughout his life, Owen provided his family with a wealth of memories and laughter that will continue to bring comfort in the days ahead. His kindness, sense of humor, and love for those close to him will be missed dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in Owen’s memory to a charity of your choice.
He will forever be remembered in our hearts.
