Patrick was taken suddenly to be with our Lord on July 28th, 2025 and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sisters: Sheila O'Brien (Stephen Majeski), Susan Carey (Thomas Carey), Sharon O'Brien (Christian Pointer), and Margaret "Peggy" Gould (Paul Gould). He was the beloved Uncle Pat to his niece Shae Hurst and nephews James Hurst, Daniel Carey, and Liam Gould. He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Shirley O'Brien.
Giving Spirit
Pat was a friend indeed! Always willing to drop everything to help a family member or friend in need, or come to your aid in a crisis. Pat was a defender of the people he cared for, willing to go to bat for you when you needed help. You knew if you called him, he would come without delay.
Pat was fun! He lived fully without regrets. He traveled the globe: Costa Rica, Alaska, Europe, Russia, and Australia. He loved exploring and made friends wherever he roamed. He was up for any adventure.
Finally, you can't speak of Pat without mentioning his best friends in life, his dogs. He loved his Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. He is survived by Sully and Ozeki whose worlds will never be the same. A bright light has moved on from this Earth, although his spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
We are planning a memorial for him on November 16, from 12:00-3:00 at McMeniman's-Anderson School in Bothell. McMeniman's is also a hotel. We have reserved a small block of rooms should people from out-of-town need accommodations. There are 10 rooms blocked off for the date and unreserved rooms will be released back into hotel inventory 30 days prior to our event. Guests can also make reservations outside of the block as well at the same rate!
Contact Sharon ([email protected]) to obtain the groups codes and directions for reserving either by phone or on-line!
