Born in Pepeekeo, Hawai‘i, he was a U.S. Army veteran and the proprietor of Signcraft, a custom signage company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda (2013). He is survived by his sons, Marc and Michael.
A memorial service will be held on September 19, 2026, at 1 PM at Lifetime Celebrations by Washelli in Bothell, WA. For those unable to attend in person, a webcast will be available. Interment will take place at a later date in Hilo, Hawai‘i, at the East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery II.
