Virgil Irving Tollifson

He was born to the late Virgil, Sr and Lucille Tollifson, August 25, 1930 in Austin, MN. Virgil graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1948. He served in the United State Army during the Korean war from 1950 to 1953. He was then able to attend college using the GI bill and graduated from the university of Minnesota where he received a BS degree in Economics. He married Patricia Martin in 1957. They were married for 57 years until Patricia’s passing in 2014.

Virgil was a salesman for most of his career. He worked for various companies over the years, including IBM, 3M and Binney and Smith. While Minnesota always remained home to Virgil, he and his family lived in various locations including Des Moines, Iowa, Indianapolis, Indiana, and later in life, Redmond and Woodinville, WA.

Virgil is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas & Kellie Tollifson, of Woodinville, WA, and three grandchildren, Erik, Julie, and Matthew.

Virgil’s kind and giving spirit will be missed greatly by all friends and family. His final resting place will be at the Evergreen-Washelli cemetery in Seattle, WA.
