LTC (RET) William Martin Krause, most recently a resident of Bothell, WA, and previously of Pt Townsend and Tacoma, WA, passed away July 14, 2025 at home. Bill was born October 10, 1938 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Frederick and Rose Krause. William attended The Citadel Military College of South Carolina and began a 23 year career in the Air Force. He met his bride Darlene (Chudej) on a blind date in Waco, TX and they lived in Nebraska, England, Mississippi, Maryland, Colorado and Washington state during their 63 years of marriage.
Bill served overseas during the Vietnam Nam war and was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service. He loved travel, camping, horses, both the mountains and the beach, and most of all, his family.
William is survived by Darlene, his daughter Joanne (Michael Montague) and grandsons Tyler and Devin.
A small military ceremony will be held at his internment at Tahoma National Cemetery on August 15, 2025 at 2:30 PM.
