Today we gather to honor and celebrate the life of our beloved mother, who was blessed with 99 wonderful years. She lived a life filled with love, kindness, faith, and quiet strength. Her unwavering devotion to her family shaped our lives and left a legacy that will continue through generations.

She was born in Nanjing, China, and moved to Taiwan with the Nationalist government in 1949. In 1988, she came to the United States to be close to her family and begin a new chapter of life. She was a loving mother to three children, a proud grandmother of six, and a joyful great-grandmother. Her family was always the center of her heart.

Even later in life, she never stopped learning. In her sixties, she learned to speak Cantonese so she could attend a nearby Cantonese church. She also took English classes at a community college and faithfully visited residents in nursing homes, bringing them companionship, encouragement, and God’s love.

Her faith in God guided her throughout her life. She taught us by example to love others, to persevere through hardships, and to serve with humility. Though we will deeply miss her gentle smile, caring heart, and wise presence, we are grateful for the many precious memories she gave us.

While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that she has completed her earthly journey and is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.

Mom, thank you for your endless love, your sacrifices, and your unwavering faith. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, and your love will remain in our hearts forever.

Rest in peace. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
